ARD offers you a career path: Let’s take a look at the example of a Procurement Assistant
I am currently Procurement Assistant.
I manage and monitor purchasing, orders and suppliers, I also negotiate rates and offers.
I arrived in ARD in 2010, after working as a laboratory technician for several years in a variety of fields (agriculture, food industry, in-vitro/pharmaceutical diagnostics) and four years as an industrial development technician with BioMérieux.
After joining the BioDémo team as an analytical research technician whose role was to manage the laboratories and implement the quality system, in 2016 I was given the opportunity to become part-time procurement assistant, then at the end of 2016 I was also offered the role of QSE (quality, safety, and environment) assistant, also part-time, while keeping my role as part-time procurement assistant.
In late June 2018 I made the choice of a full time job : Procurement Assistant.
I manage and monitor purchasing, orders and suppliers, I also negotiate rates and offers.
I have always been curious and open-minded, which has enabled me to occupy a variety of roles since the start of my career. At ARD, I accepted tasks that complemented my original role as a laboratory technician, like creating and drafting procedures, training operators, or following samples. These tasks enabled me to widen my skills set.
Moreover, during our annual appraisals, ARD noticed my commitment to the various tasks I was entrusted with. This is what allowed me to progress and take on new responsibilities. And I hope this career development continues!
